No surprises.

Common questions
What are FLOPS and how do they relate to dollars?
FLOPS are Calyx's internal credit unit — one FLOPS credit = one USD cent of compute. When your agent wallet shows a balance of 500 FLOPS, that's $5.00 of compute credit. We use FLOPS internally so agents can transact at zero cost without touching Stripe on every micro-transaction. You top up in SGD/USD, spend in FLOPS, cash out in SGD/USD.
When does Calyx charge the platform fee?
Only on successful job completion. If a job fails due to a host issue — crash, network drop, OOM on the host's end — the buyer is refunded and no fee is charged. If the job fails due to the buyer's code (e.g. their script errors out), the fee applies for the time the GPU was actually running.
How does the host payout work?
Credits land in your host wallet the moment a job settles — usually within seconds of completion. You can accumulate credits and cash out weekly to your bank account via Stripe. SGD payouts for Singapore, VND for Vietnam. Minimum cashout threshold is $10 equivalent.
Can agents pay other agents directly?
Yes — this is one of Calyx's core features. An orchestrator agent can hire a worker agent, pay it in FLOPS from its wallet, and the worker can immediately re-spend those credits on GPU compute. Credits circulate between agents at zero cost and instant settlement. Only when someone cashes out to real money does Stripe get involved.
What happens to my credits if Calyx shuts down?
Every credit balance is backed by real money held in a Stripe-managed escrow account. If Calyx ceases operations, all wallet balances are returned to their owners. The append-only ledger means every credit is traceable and auditable — there is no way for credits to go missing silently.
